Meet Mike Valois

Mike Valois is a retired U.S. Coast Guard veteran and a 25-year resident of Mashpee. He is running to represent the town on the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates as a write-in candidate.

Mike served 20 years in the Coast Guard. That career shaped his approach to leadership: be ready, be accountable under pressure, and take seriously the work of protecting our coastal waters and keeping people safe. After his service, he earned a degree in business management and brings that practical, results-driven mindset to public service.

Mike and his wife raised their family in Mashpee, and they have watched the town grow and change over the years. He is running for the people who keep Mashpee going all year: young families, teachers, first responders, seniors on fixed incomes, and local tradespeople. His priorities are clean water and coastline protection, transparent and accountable use of tax dollars, and housing and infrastructure that keep Mashpee livable for working families, veterans, and seniors.

Mike believes the way to get results for Mashpee is to work with neighboring towns across the Cape, and his campaign carries the message “For Mashpee & The Cape.” If elected, he will keep communication open with the Select Board, town administration, and residents.
